Boot-y Calls

Winter brings with it turning leaves, crisper breeze, longer nights and a special kind of magic in the air. And what better way to enjoy this than to turn our feet into snuggle bunnies clad in toasty socks, slipped into the warmth and comfort of boots!! We think they are magnifique, merging style, sass and stability all into one perfect bundle! Boots can be dressy, casual or anywhere in between depending on how we style them.

Originally, boots were designed for men, especially those whose work was more physical. In fact men who used to ride horses preferred heeled boots for their added support! However, in 1860, the first pair of boots for women were made for none other than Queen Victoria, and the rest as they say, is history. Today we are spoilt for choices when it comes to owning boots – Knee length, calf length, ankle high – Suede, Faux Leather, Patent Leather, Rubber – Flat heel, Block heel, Wedge Boots….the list is literally endless!

This weather gives us the perfect reason to bring out our boots and give a rock chic edge to every look we endorse. Nothing works better with fall fashion than a pair of boots. Riding boots and calf length ones are perfect to tuck your skinny jeans into and thigh highs paired with skirts bring out the gorgeous in you! Ankle length ones are just the thing to try out as your first pair as they are the most versatile of the lot and elongate your legs visually! And on days when heels feel like too much but flats simply won’t do, punctuate your look with flat boots that epitomise comfort and are stellar in style too.

A trending look right now is to wear your boots with traditional outfits as well!! What more could you ask for? Pair them with lehengas, just like with skirts or even sarees to give you an edgy look that screams fun! Big plus? They are a zillion times more comfy to dance or run around in!

So with so many reasons to pull on a pair, make the most of the moment and boot up your style!
